Practical Exercise 2: Sponsor Interviews

CONTENT ADD: This block will have three separate videos of a sponsor briefing a Zefra wargaming project. We will pick from these issues:

Planning/CONOPS

Logistics

Combat

UN/Diplomatic

INtel development

Media

Private military companies (Token)

NGOs

• The first video will be the sponsor introducing what he wants to learn from the wargame. He will attempt to be specific on certain objectives, and what he wants to learn in order to set up a later exercise (e.g use MANA, Steel Panthers, Command Air/Naval, Excel, Extend Sim or Arena). Student shold be able to pick out the issues and the objective of the game from this video. Sponsor should also provide constraints, and list some assumptions that should be used in a CLA exercise.
  
• Thought exercise for student: List objective and issues
• Second video is sponsor confirming the objective and issues, but also throwing a couple of new assumptions, maybe another constraint, and then revealing at least a partial priority of the issues.
• Thought exercise: Order issues by priority
• Third video is scoping. maybe a pre exercise for students is where to draw the line (e.g. how many issues?)
